We’re heading to the historic City of York, for a new and uplifting experience!

The Games Maker Choir have enjoyed some unique experiences since the choir was formed in London in 2012, but our next performance event promises to be a world first!

We are travelling north to help open the first ever European Kettlebell Championships to be held in the UK, in the beautiful city of York.

Thanks to the choir’s super soprano Jenny Whitcombe, who also happens to be a superb kettlebell lifter, with many championship medals for England to her name, choir members are proud to have been invited to sing at the Opening Ceremony of this prestigious event at the York Stadium Leisure Complex

We’ll be singing early in the morning of Friday 15th May 2026.

Catch up with the latest news about the event, and discover more about the sport on the English Kettlebell Association website and their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The choir have sung at sporting events in the world of athletics, rugby, hockey and half and full marathons. Supporting the sport of kettlebell lifting is new to us and we’re looking forward to cheering on all the participants from across Europe.

Watch out for news of future performances and choir adventures and, if you’re a sporting volunteer, love to sing, and like the sound of this, why not check out our “Join Us” page and become one of our unique family.
