The Games Maker Choir welcome in Christmas 2019

Christmas 2019 was welcomed and enjoyed by many long term friends and some new ones too, at a delightfully Christmassy concert in our rehearsal venue of St Michael’s Church, Wandsworth Common, on the first Saturday of December 2019.

For two hours on this busy pre-Christmas Saturday, the Games Maker Choir celebrated our ‘choir family’ with no less than 18 songs, a review of all we had achieved this year (with a hint of 2020 plans) plus two delightful readings from choir members; sharing some impressive poetic and acting talents to add to the musical offerings.

The songs performed were a mix of Christmas carols and classics, along with some from our growing repertoire and – in true Games Maker Choir style, the languages mastered included Hebrew, Latin and medieval English.

Christmas is all about family and friends – and it was an honour to share this special event with such an appreciative audience.

There are two more Christmas concerts to come in 2019; at the Victoria and Albert Museum on the 13 December and with Alistair Griffin at St James’ Church, Hampton Hill on the 14th.

If you volunteer at major sporting events, see how YOU could be part of our choir family  all year round, and look out for more Games Maker Choir events to come on the Home Page  Facebook and Twitter
