Oh we did like to be beside the ‘seaside’
The Games Maker Choir had an amazing evening with Team GB on Friday 05 August helping to launch the Rio inspired BeachEast FanZone at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
We were very privileged to perform four of our favourite songs to an invited audience as the sun set over the palm trees, white sand, funfair and pool…… in downtown Stratford, all overlooked by our favourite iconic stadium and the Arcelor Orbit. There were plenty of ‘goosebump moments’ as we enjoyed being back on the Park which many of us called home during those heady days of London 2012.
The magical evening was enjoyed alongside the Pandemonium Drummers from the 2012 Opening Ceremony, TV Presenter Gethin Jones and BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills before the Fanzone was officially opened to enable UK fans to view the Rio Opening Ceremony and subsequently all those great moments from an amazingly exciting Games. #BringOnTheGreat
