Are You are a Sporting Volunteer and love to sing? Watch the video and join The Choir for Sport -The Games Maker Choir
Our name, The Games Maker Choir reflects that most members originally volunteered at the Paralympic or Olympic Games of London 2012 – or at any Olympic or Paralympic Games or large sporting event since. However, to paraphrase the choir’s signature song; Elbow’s “One Day Like This” the decision was made in 2017 to ‘throw those curtains wide’ and open the joining criteria to more singers; to include those who have volunteered at a wider range of large sporting events.
So if you love to sing, and fancy the opportunity to join us in some fabulous singing experiences, here’s how to join us:
Why not come along to a free “taster” session and see how you like it? We’d love to see you at one of our rehearsals, held on the first Saturday of each month in Battersea, south west London – a short walk or bus ride from Clapham Junction railway station.
All singing abilities and sporting volunteers of all ages are very welcome!
“We have great fun and an ever growing repertoire, plus great teachers and singing aides to help you along the way, so don’t be shy about getting in touch.”
Take a look at these impressive achievements by the Games Maker Choir so far – and be part of our future.
